TU Graz Scholarships: High Potentials Funding and Application Checklist
Understand TU Graz High Potentials scholarships, check the correct degree and application round, and separate scholarship support from admission and total study costs.

TU Graz lists several financial-support routes, so first identify the exact award and degree level. Its High Potentials programme was formerly called TU Graz 100. This guide focuses on choosing the correct application round and preparing evidence. It is not an admission offer and does not mean every TU Graz student receives a scholarship.
Check the published application round
On 7 September 2026, the official High Potentials page lists the next master's application period as 15 October 2026–15 February 2027, for a winter-semester 2027 start. The next bachelor's period is 5 May–7 July 2027. These are future application periods as of this review; open the official page again before applying because dates and calls may change.
The same page describes support over up to two years, with different maximum amounts for bachelor's and master's students. Read the individual call for the relevant programme and funding conditions. Do not interpret a headline maximum as a guaranteed personal award or complete coverage of every study cost.
Separate programme admission from scholarship selection
Record the degree programme, entry requirements and admission process in one part of your tracker, and the scholarship rules in another. Check whether each document is needed for one process or both. An application submitted to a scholarship call is not automatically proof that admission is complete.
If information conflicts, ask the responsible office a specific question that includes your intended programme and intake. Avoid sending a generic message asking for “any fully funded scholarship” without explaining your study level. A precise enquiry is easier to answer and reduces the chance of following the wrong route.
Prepare academic and technical evidence
Choose two or three relevant projects, courses or research experiences. Explain the problem, your contribution and the result you can support. For a technical project, describe how you checked the work rather than listing tools alone. Identify team contributions accurately and avoid attaching confidential code or data.
If the call requires a motivation statement, connect your preparation to the actual curriculum and your proposed development. A clear learning goal is stronger than generic praise for Austria or the university. Keep the statement responsive to the current prompt and length limit.
Make a cost-and-funding worksheet
Record tuition and institutional fees, accommodation, everyday expenses, travel and any other costs relevant to your circumstances. Beside each cost, note whether the award explicitly covers it, does not cover it or leaves it unclear. Record the payment schedule and funding duration once confirmed. This is a planning worksheet, not personalised financial advice.
Finish with a document and date check
Use the exact names and formats required in the call. Request transcripts or references early, check whether additional document formalities apply, and keep originals secure. Save the submitted version and confirmation. Recheck the published award conditions before accepting any offer rather than relying on an old description of TU Graz 100.
