The University of Western Australia is accepting 2027 domestic higher degree by research scholarship applications through 31 October 2026 at 11:59 p.m. AWST. A competitive RTP stipend is AUD 39,253 per year in 2027; domestic HDR tuition is offset automatically. Eligible recent UWA international graduates may also apply.
UWA has opened its 2027 Domestic Higher Degree by Research Scholarship Round for research doctorate and research master’s applicants. The round also accepts UWA international students who graduated in 2025 or 2026, or who will complete a qualifying UWA degree by the end of 2026. Apply for admission and select the 2027 Domestic HDR Scholarship Round in the HDR application portal; current HDR candidates and existing offer holders use the separate scholarship form. Research Training Program stipend awards are limited and competitively ranked. The 2027 RTP living allowance is AUD 39,253 per year. Domestic HDR tuition fee offsets are automatic for eligible admitted students; international applicants should check whether tuition coverage is offered in their individual award.
