University of Leicester BBSRC MIBTP PhD Studentships 2027
University of Leicester
The University of Leicester is accepting applications for 2027 BBSRC Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership PhD projects across agriculture, health, biology and clean growth. The four-year award covers tuition fees and a tax-free stipend; Leicester waives the overseas fee difference for successful international students. Deadline: 23 November 2026.
The MIBTP is a six-university doctoral training partnership with research themes in sustainable agriculture and food, the rules of life, renewable resources and clean growth, and integrated health. Leicester lists named supervisor projects as well as an option to apply to the programme without choosing a project initially. Applicants submit one Leicester PhD application for September 2027 entry, listing any preferred supervisors and projects; no separate research proposal is required. The official page lists 23 November 2026 as the closing date without a cutoff time, so submit early.
