Assistant Professor Tianlong Chen is recruiting several motivated postdoctoral researchers to join the University of North Carolina, AI Trustworthiness, Efficiency, and for Science (UNITES) Group in the Department of Computer Science at UNC Chapel Hill.

The group studies efficient and reliable machine learning, large-language-model agents, multimodal learning and artificial intelligence for biomedical science. The current recruitment announcement welcomes applicants whose technical backgrounds include, but are not limited to:

  • Multimodal learning.
  • Artificial intelligence for biomedical science.
  • Agentic AI and embodied AI.
  • Trustworthy AI, including uncertainty quantification, bias analysis and model evaluation.

Eligibility summary
