ICR funded PhD in paediatric brain tumour virotherapy — Dr Emma Harris (2027)
The Institute of Cancer Research
Dr Emma Harris’s lab at the Institute of Cancer Research, Sutton, seeks a PhD researcher to improve oncolytic-virus delivery for paediatric brain tumours using nanoparticles and focused ultrasound. This ICR-funded four-year award covers tuition, project costs and a tax-free stipend. Open to all nationalities. Deadline: 16 November 2026.
The project tests whether nanoparticle-encapsulated oncolytic viruses and focused ultrasound can improve delivery across the blood-brain barrier and stimulate anti-tumour immunity in paediatric high-grade glioma. Primary supervisor Dr Emma Harris; associate supervisor Dr Julia Cockle. The work includes preclinical glioma models, immune profiling and imaging at ICR Sutton.
