The Fulbright Schuman Program is administered by the Fulbright Commission in Belgium and is jointly financed by the U.S. Department of State and the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG.EAC) of the European Commission. Grants can be awarded to candidates from any of the 27 EU member states for a period of up to nine months and are open to all academic fields, however, the topic of research must have a strong EU component.Types of grants available:- Doctoral Research Award- Post-Doctoral Research and Lecturing Award- Fulbright-NATO Security Studies Award- International Educator Award- Innovation AwardEligibility- Citizenship in an EU Member State- Proficiency in English- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree- Academic/professional experience of 3+ months in two or more EU Member States recommended- Academic excellence, or outstanding personal or professional backgroundFurther information
