Please see: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/fees-funding/fees/status for more information. The studentship is funded by the European Research Council and the University of Oxford. The research is interdisciplinary and will encompass the design, synthesis and investigation of new luminescent organic materials. The aim is to make fundamental progress to facilitate a new generation of materials with implications in a wide range of applications, particularly optoelectronics (e.g. solar panels, sensing and displays). Further information on research in the Congrave Group can be found on the group website: https://congravegroup.site.ox.ac.uk/ Applicants are encouraged to contact Dr Daniel Congrave for further information on the studentship before applying: dan.congrave@chem.ox.ac.uk Candidates with a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree in Chemistry are encouraged to apply. The candidates are expected to be strongly committed to research and have demonstrated the ability to independently learn new skills. Experience in synthetic chemistry is highly desirable. The successful applicants will be based in the Chemistry Research Laboratory (CRL), Oxford.
