The CNV Foundation supports outstanding female scientists who have children and are working in the fields of experimental natural sciences and basic medical research.The following are eligible for funding:- Female doctoral candidates of all nationalities who are in their second year of doctoral studies or later, whose dissertation is still in the practical phase, and who are conducting research at universities and research institutes in Germany.- Female postdoctoral researchers of all nationalities who are either conducting research at universities and research institutes in Germany or who earned their doctorate at a German university and are continuing their research abroad. Preference is given to those who have changed their field of research after completing their doctorate.It is a requirement that the female researcher (doctoral candidate or postdoctoral fellow) work full-time in research during the funding period and that full-day care for the child or children be guaranteed and financed by a daycare center or a child care provider. Funding will be suspended during parental leave taken by the grant recipient or her partner. Women pursuing a habilitation, junior professors, and heads of independent research groups, as well as women in permanent full-time positions, are not eligible to apply.Further information
