CENTA Project-Based Environmental Science PhD Studentships 2027
Central England NERC Training Alliance (CENTA)
CENTA’s 2027 project-based PhD studentships in Earth and environmental sciences are open until 6 January 2027. Home-fee students receive full fees and a stipend; international students may have a tuition-fee shortfall.
The Central England NERC Training Alliance is recruiting for listed 2027 PhD projects across its UK university and research-centre partners. Select a project on the CENTA site, then apply through that project’s host institution and attach the CENTA studentship form and CV. The project-based route is open; the separate CENTA Science Opportunity Scholarships route closed on 18 October 2026. International candidates may apply within a 30% cohort cap, but CENTA funds only Home-level fees and some host universities may require applicants to cover the difference. Ask the project supervisor about any fee waiver before applying.
