The ISBS-supported internship investigates age- and sex-specific movement variability in distance runners using existing 3D motion-capture data. The intern will process full-body kinematics, analyse lower-limb variability and help prepare research outputs. It is an on-campus, eight-week paid internship at Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Cyncoed Campus, expected to start in February–March 2027. Requirements
Experience with VICON, Visual3D, MATLAB, Python or movement variability analysis is useful but not required. The supervisors are Dr Jasper Verheul and Sophie Burton.
