Bath Spa ESRC SWDTP PhD Studentship Competition 2027
Bath Spa University
Bath Spa University is accepting PhD applications for consideration for 2027 ESRC South West Doctoral Training Partnership studentships in education, management and business studies, and sociotechnical futures and digital methods. The first Bath Spa deadline is 8 November 2026. Selection for nomination does not guarantee an award.
Applicants must first apply for a Bath Spa PhD and indicate interest in ESRC SWDTP funding. The university may put forward up to three applications per pathway, including up to two international candidates. Candidates advanced by Bath Spa then submit SWDTP materials by 12 noon GMT on 12 January 2027. This is a competitive selection route, not an automatic scholarship upon admission. The funded studentship normally supports 3 years 3 months of doctoral study plus a 3-month research-in-practice placement.
