American University in Cairo Graduate Fellowships — Spring 2027
The American University in Cairo
AUC is accepting graduate fellowship applications for spring 2027 through 2 November 2026. Institutional and sponsored awards may cover part or all of tuition; terms depend on the specific fellowship. Graduate admission should be submitted at least two weeks before the fellowship deadline.
The American University in Cairo (AUC) has opened its spring 2027 graduate fellowship application cycle. AUC offers institutional fellowships funded by the university and sponsored fellowships funded through donors and endowments. New and continuing degree-seeking graduate students may be considered according to the conditions of each award. Selection is competitive and considers academic merit and financial need, with preference for full-time graduate study. The application window runs from 7 October to 2 November 2026. Submit the graduate admission application at least two weeks before the fellowship deadline, then apply for fellowship support through AUC Banner Self-Service. Admission need not be decided before the fellowship application. Review the individual fellowship listing before applying because coverage and eligibility vary by award.

Benefits
AUC says institutional and sponsored fellowships can cover all tuition for nine credits in a semester or part of tuition for one to eight credits. Full-time international students receiving fellowship support may be eligible for a housing allowance. Institutional awards are usually for one semester and renewal requires a new application; the amount and duration of a particular sponsored award depend on its own terms. AUC does not promise a stipend or one universal funding package for this cycle.
Eligibility summary
AUC says new and continuing degree-seeking graduate students can compete for fellowships after completing an admission application and a separate fellowship application. Excellent academic standing and full admission receive priority; financial need is also considered. Continuing students generally need at least a 3.2 GPA unless an individual award says otherwise. Institutional fellowships exclude graduate diploma, Master of Engineering, Master in Computing and non-degree students, and applicants admitted subject to prerequisite undergraduate courses. Other fellowship-specific conditions may apply.
Requirements
Submit a graduate admission application at least two weeks before the 2 November 2026 fellowship deadline. An admission decision is not required before the fellowship application. New applicants should allow seven working days after receiving a student ID before starting the Banner fellowship application.
Documents required
Check the specific fellowship listing and AUC application instructions for required documents. AUC’s general fellowship page does not provide one universal document list for all awards.

How to submit applications
First submit your AUC graduate admission application. Once you have a student ID, use AUC Banner Self-Service to submit a separate graduate fellowship application. Select the fellowship(s) for which you meet the published criteria, check any additional requirements on the official AUC page, and submit by 2 November 2026. AUC gives the date without a cutoff time, so apply early.
