Know your application

Interviewers may ask about anything you submitted: your essay, CV, grades, research plan, work history, or community service. Review your application before the interview so your answers are consistent.

Prepare common questions

Practice answers for:

  • Tell us about yourself
  • Why did you choose this programme?
  • Why do you deserve this scholarship?
  • What problem do you want to solve?
  • What will you do after the scholarship?
  • How will your country or community benefit?
  • What challenge have you overcome?

Use a clear answer structure

For experience questions, use a simple structure: situation, action, result, and lesson. Keep answers focused. Do not memorize long paragraphs; prepare points.

Research the provider

Understand the scholarship's goals. A leadership scholarship, research scholarship, and professional training scholarship will not evaluate applicants in exactly the same way.

Check practical details

If the interview is online, test your internet, microphone, camera, lighting, and login link. Keep a copy of your application and notes nearby. Join early.

The goal is not to sound perfect. The goal is to show preparation, honesty, clarity, and a strong match with the scholarship.
